Love this! And happy to see someone else feels inspired to do the same. I’ve been traveling two years and documenting my favorite moments/revelations on Substack to one day compile into a book. It’s nice to see someone else write with the same intention but a different style 🤗
happy you ended up here bree, i'm loving your travel stories. i spent 2 months in berlin in the fall and definitely have a few wilder stories to share haha. maybe in time...
“the days are simple, simpler than anything i have ever experienced. every day is beautifully, monotonously the same” — this is one of my favorite bits, on top of all those delicious vivid descriptions. Excited for you, Kora!
Wow! You have an incredible ability to bring readers back to where you were and witnessing your daily life with you! Looking forward to reading your book!
Loved this piece and can't wait for the book Kora! I did a 6 month nomad stint back in 2021 traveling across the US but wasn't writing back then. I wish I had though, you've inspired me. Excited to see how your book turns out. I'm 31 and still figuring it out as I go along, it's all any of us can do. Good luck brother!
kora, i'm so happy i came across your writing. reading this essay inspired me, and i mean it. you opened up ideas of what else could be possible in life, other than the default paths we were taught to live. really excited to see how everything plays out with your book, your travels, and maybe even stories of the kid you're teaching right now. :)
This post was my first real introduction to your writing and I loved it. Beautifully gripping writing and a story I want to watch play out. I also took a lot of comfort in reading this that I’m not the only 25 year old who quit a stable and well paying job to travel, write, and pursue a more meaningful life. Being surrounded by people who are asking the same questions and taking the same bold actions makes me feel a little less crazy and reassures me I’m on The Path. So thanks for that :)
Super excited to keep reading future posts and stay tuned for the book launch!
thank you for the kind words jack! i’m grateful our paths crossed — and on similar journeys, nonetheless. excited to grow and chart the wild unknown together :)
